Annual visitor centre surveys
People who use our services are at the centre of everything we do which is why we encourage them to get involved in our Visitors’ Voice groups and events, or to tell us what they think about our services. We also want to share prisoners’ friends and families experience with the wider public so that the shame and stigma that they sometimes feel is reduced. It is only by listening to the views of our service users, staff and volunteers that we can respond and work together to make improvements. We also aim to influence policy and practice on visits and resettlement through our work with the prison service.
In March each year, our visitors are asked to complete a survey about their experience of a north east prison and support received from Nepacs.
Some of the key findings of last year’s survey are HERE.
