Kath trained at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne and Elsie Inglis Women’s Hospital in Edinburgh. During her 40-year career in the NHS she worked for many years as a senior nurse and midwife in Gateshead. Kath specialised in women’s health and sexual health, running a home visits service for non clinic attenders.
Since her retirement Kath has enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren and volunteering with Nepacs as a trustee and manager of caravan project. She is an Elder in the United Reformed Church at Waddington Street in Durham.
