Nepacs is a charity which supports a positive future for prisoners and their families in the north east.

Our Youth Projects provide a unique opportunity for young people who are visiting family members in prison to relax, have fun, chat about their concerns with a trusted adult and feel less isolated and stigmatised. We are seeking applicants to develop a new service at HMP Northumberland, linked to supporting the prison visiting experience for young people at weekends and through school holidays.

The post holder will develop and support a team of volunteers, and will facilitate activities for young people waiting to go into visits; provide activities for young people in the visits hall, and assist with outreach activities to reduce young people’s self-confidence and emotional well-being by encouraging peer support..

Closing date for applications: 29 April 2018
Interviews to be held on: 9 May 2018

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be requested for the successful applicant.
