Nepacs is a charity which supports a positive future for prisoners and their families in the north east.

Our Youth Projects provide a unique opportunity for young people who are visiting family members in prison to relax, have fun, chat about their concerns with a trusted adult and feel less isolated and stigmatised.  We are seeking applicants to sustain and develop an existing service at HMP Frankland, linked to supporting the prison visiting experience for young people at weekends and through school holidays.

The post holder will develop and support a team of volunteers, and will facilitate activities for young people waiting to go into visits; provide activities for young people in the visits hall, and assist with outreach activities to reduce young people’s self-confidence and emotional well-being by encouraging peer support.

Closing date for applications: 11 February 2019
Interviews will be held on: 18 February 2019

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be requested for the successful applicant.
